Hi. This is my first blog ever!
Well, they finally wrote a story about ME – it’s the one called The Almost Exmoor.
This post (is that that the word you people use?) is called ‘Sunny, the Almost Exmoor’. Well, I’m not Sunny, I’m Collie. I’m a real Exmoor pony and that’s my picture, and Sunny in the book was based on ME.
OK, so they changed some things and the people in the story are nothing like my people, but practically everything in the book happened to me too. Funny, I don’t recognise any of the humans, now I come to think about it, but the important thing they’ve got right is ME!
I live in North Yorkshire (in England) on a farm with some other horses. Me and my two friends have our own field with lots of grass, so that’s good. Yes, I know Exmoors live on Exmoor and that Exmoor is in Dorset and Devon, not in North Yorkshire, but North Yorkshire is where I was born, OK?
I think us Exmoors are great, but I’m the only one living here. We’re tough and we’re strong. We’ve got brown backs and honey-coloured fur round our muzzles and eyes and none of us have any white fur anywhere, so we look cute and we’re quite clever, too.
Well, that’s who I am. I’ll post some more about what it’s like to be a pony and how I came to live here, soon. In the meantime, if you want to read more about Sunny, then the story is out there online at the big bookshops and Amazon. There are drawings of me by Daisy May Collingridge. I think they they make me look cute!
